K'Vort and Bird of Pery pverview

Post by tillias »

Hi guys!

Finished with Bird Of Prey model and started K'Vort.
Here are some base points that looks good for me:

0. BOP have no autotracking for forward disruptors. K'Vort do. This is because K'Vort is much larger then BOP and without autotracking left or right disruptor will always stick to target.

1. Both classes have only disruptors... Though I'll be pretty glad if someone will proove that K'Vort have disruptor beams and show me where those beams should be mounted ( direction also greeted :)

2. Both classes can fire disruptors in two modes: Normal and Special.

2.1 While in normal mode BOP fire two clods per shot with average rate of 3-3,5 salvos per second:

K'Vort can fire dual disruptor bolts with average rate 1 salvo in second:

2.2 While in special mode I want to make BOP disruptor beams with Autotracking. Is this a good idea?
Take a look at BOP Wing's disruptors. It seems that there are 4 possible weapons for each wing... Any cool ideas? Keep in mind that BOP can fire only 1 bolt per salvo from each Wing Disruptor ( according to Way of The Warrior and Shattered Mirror ):

2.3 Same story for K'Vort -- beams in Special mode.

3. Main question -- where should I put additional disruptor beams for K'Vort? Should I? Any screenshots? Their direction? Here is possible variant:

Or maybe K'Vort shoud use additional disruptor bolts instead of beams?

4. What's about BOP? It seems that it have only disruptor bolts...

Don't forget the torpedo tube in the head either. And there weren't any indication of beam disruptors on these BoP's in the show ever.

Sure, I even didn't want to mention it :)
Though it is opened question how many torps can it fire in volley and how fast torpedoe tube refires.

According to this: ( Way of The Warrior )

It can fire 4+ torpedoes in a volley ( let me call it serie ). With 5+ seconds refire time.

Since K'Vort is more powerful, it will fire 8+ torps in serie with 4+ seconds refire time.

Is this good idea?

Anyhow we slowly returning to torpedos poll topic -- how many torps it can fire in a serie.
God bless you!

Ok, let it be disruptors for both K'Vort and Klingon BOP. They will be able to fire only disruptors but at least in two modes: "rapid fire - small damage from single shot - small energy consumtion" and "slow fire rate - big damage - huge energy consumption"

And let upgrading system to take care of any non canon facts :)
Want beams? Then earn some money for it in game and arm your ship to your own taste :)
God bless you!

BOP has limited autotracking.
Remember STVI, it's shown rather clearly there.

Hmm... What do you mean by "limited autotracking". I thought that in VS weapons have only two possible conditions: autotracking on/off.

Maybe you are talking about small tracking cone? Already 10 degrees...

Yes, small cone.
And I meant ST-V, for your overall confusion - sorry.

I guessed you could make it smaller than the K'Vort, though 10deg sounds about right.
