D'oh! I just read the FAQ - we can already do this!! I wonder why this wasn't taken advantage of in the Vega Trek mod??

Because we (I) didn't have eager and willing volunteers (you) to help out!

Redoing the HUD for Vega Trek is a priority... as soon as I get some more cool ships working.
