Could this make a good Mantu ship?
Does anybody here know?

To my knowledge, there's little if any info on what Mantu ships looked like, but I've been wrong before.

No answer?
I'd say go for it, if there's nothing about the Mantu contradicting it (I didn't find anything), but I'm not knowledgeable, I only have a "like it very much" tie with WC, I don't really know much about the details of its universe.

You're right. I did find some references to Mantu ships being insectoids, almost invisible and hard to lock on. I think we could make them pitch black, only specular spots and environment mapping showing on them, and normal mapped veins under the skin that slightly glow; something like that. Maybe add a couple of antennas at the front ;-)

Here's the ship file with non-overlapping UV map. It would be good if someone pointed me to my mistakes.

It says the file is no longer available. There's no filename that I see...

Strange... the file didn't even last a day.
Oh well, I'll send you an email.
Edit:A brief image of the non-overlapping UV map:

BTW, we continued this chat by email. Kang is trying radiosity baking now.

I've reposted this question at wcplanet.com

Some progress shots on the mesh as suggested in wcplanet.com:
