Is it possible to veiw chat content on Spiritplumber's multiplayer test? I've attempted to chat using the Left Bracket key but I saw nothing in particular happen, no replies and so on. I gather that the chat feature isn't quite done, may be I'm wrong.
It's good to see progress done toward a multiplayer implementation!

The multiplayer chat works, and yes use the [ key.... but, thank the engine guys rather than me
One thing you can try is connect wth tcp rather than udp if you're experiencing connection problems of this sort.

My Moral Code:
- The only sin is to treat people as if they were things.
- Rules were made for people, not the other way around.
- Don't deceive. Real life is complicated enough.
- If all else fails, smash stuff.

It times out with UDP if it can't receive messages, so it should fallback to TCP in that case.
Anyway for the "[" key to work, you currently need some config changes.
It should have come with those if you downloaded a config file from the registration screen...basically you need to modify the function of the "[" key to be chat rather than switching control of ships or turrets.
