What would you put on a Wiki page on Terminology: Universe?
Searching the Wiki for 'universe' yields numerous results that do not appear to explain on the concept sufficiently, or at least it would be very hard to abstract a useful explanation out of the ways the term is actually used in.

Yes --- without some concept of a universe, all the nice graphics the game displays and all the responses to input devices it gives remain pretty meaninglessHalleck wrote:You mean in terms of the vega strike game universe?
The Wiki shows about 35 occurences of 'universe', and telling from a glance over the list of search results, the term is used in many different ways. That makes it difficult to create from the ways the term is used a description of the underlying concept, or, probably more appropriate, many descriptions of the multitudes of underlying concepts. And my feeling is that I lack enough understanding of the concepts to be yet unable to create an appropriate explanation.

THX, that's a very nice article I will link to it in the 'See also' section.
BTW, with regard to that article, what is the canonical status of user-supplied documentation in the Wiki?

I've updated http://vegastrike.sourceforge.net/wiki/ ... y:Universe, but it has become obfuscating.
