I want to do some simple Privateer Modding. Help

If anyone can pint me to where this info is collated, thats all cool with me, but i havn't been able to find it yet

I just need to know about how privateer 1.2 equipment is handled.
Namely when/how equipment is available (eg centurion restricted to lev3 gen), RF upgrades available in the original privateer and so on.

So far ive found info on basic equipment/cargo:

privateer1.2/master_part_list.csv
Basic privateer Equipment - class/price/mass/description

privateer1.2/weapon_list.xml
Stats for guns? - dmg/energy/range/class/projectile stats etc

privateer1.2/units/cargo.csv
buy/sell prices for cargo at diff stations

privateer1.2/units/cargoRF.csv
RF extra cargo i guess

privateer1.2/units/units.csv
more detailed data on units inc gen/shield power & recharge
is max allowable units & generator/shield upgrades per ship stored in here?

Most of that is orchestrated by python scripts.
Take a look inside "modules" and "bases", you'll find lots of scripts.
I'm not sure where that specific chunk of code you mention is (restricting tech), so sorry if I'm not of much help.
