Is Vega Strike abandoned? I come back every few months to see what's new, and there seems to be no updates from the developers on the main page.

I really hope this game continues to make progress. I would love to contribute myself, but if nobody else seems to be working on the game then there would not be any reason for me to contribute.

Still plugging away but we do have trouble in that our two main code guys have to work for a living and don't have time for VS ATM so indeed there has been no progress in the last months.

Mainly, workflow problems. People walk in and out, and there are no framework for anything, other than those generic art guides.
As to the code, it does move along too, but there are big things that need decisions on where to turn (like how classes should draw lines in differentiation between mesh, stats and functions - subunits as we know them are almost unusable).
While even small things get stuck and unstuck at random. I still have a pair of patch tickets stuck mid-testing.

I think this game has potential, I always come back to it every few days to re-play and it's been more than a year. So that says something about it. :)

I just wish the major bugs would get fixed, like the Asteroid Fighter Base bug.

Also the missing bases / "load failed" objects.
