Joystick : I've read the FAQ, but ...

hi again !


I've read the FAQ, the Vs Manual Config Joystick and the Vs Manual Keyboard Layout but I still need some help :

My system is an Win98 computer
I've seen there's some line to add to the conf file to fully use my joystick ... I think I found the config file, but I'm not sure where to place the lines ...

do I have to erase all other joystick config, or do I have to just add thoses lines ??? and do I have to add something else (like a "goto Joystick:Microsoft ..."), etc ...

What've done so far is replace some lines by those I want, but with no success (I see a change in game as the afterbuner is always on, but the others buttons are badly mapped ! I know I can arrange the afterburner problem 'cause I've seen so many message about it ... but first, I need to be sure I use the correct way to insert the config lines for my joystick !).

the best thing to do is to make a backup of the previous
config file and then replace all of the joystick entries with
the one from the wiki.
