SwitchControl action in 0.5.1.r1

Greetings to this community since this is my very first post.

I have a question specifically about 0.5.1.r1 which hopefully should be easy for experienced players to answer. I can't test it myself since I am very new to the game, and the point where I would start to hire wingmen is pretty remote. I'm currently working on my bindings and something puzzles me:

In previous versions of the game, in the default vegatrike.conf, the key "[" was used for a command called SwitchControl which lets you take control of one your wingmen's ship. The key "]" was for TurretControl.

In the latest stable version 0.5.1.r1, those bindings have changed in the default: key "[" is for TurretControl and key "]" is for TextMessage.

Lastly and oddly enough, in this page of the wiki, both keys "[" and "]" are said to be bound to TurretControl by default. Where it gets more puzzling is that both descriptions of the TurretControl action are different. Interestingly, the key "[" is still called "Switch ships" but the associated command is TurretControl. The "]" key is called "Switch turret control" and the associated action is TurretControl.

So, my question: does the action SwitchControl still exist in 0.5.1.r1?
And if not, how do I access this feature?
