I've been trawling the forums for the best part of a week, trying to find ways to get the game to actually function properly, but alas nothing has worked. To start with the tutorial crashes when I attempt jump to Oldsey(?) Each time the destination comes into visual range the game simply quits with no error message, the sound of dialogue of the tutorial also cuts in and out and there is no background music . Getting frustrated, I decided to forego single player and connect to the public server. However, whenever I try to connect to Vegaserver the game also crashes, again with no error messages other than the computer telling me the program has stopped working.
Please help, I really want to play this game.

What's your hardware like? (we've seen some video card brands producing this kind of crashiness).
Also... which version are you playing?

Re: Crashes in Windows 7
Did you install the music fix? Did you try disabling shaders?
Anyway, we've had those issues with those AMD GPUs exactly. Maybe pheonixstorm knows of a workaround?
PS: Thing is... we need someone to debug the AMD GPUs. Something is killing them, and we don't know what. And most our devs use nVidia or intel, so we don't have first-hand experience with those crashes.

I tried installing the music fix but when I try and and start the application after unzipping it tells me it can't start because glut32.dll is missing from my computer, which is complete gibberish to me. I'll have a go with the shader disabling though.
