crashing into serenity

Hey, I have some trade issues. The only way i can seem to enter the serenity mining base is by flying into it (those slots on the side), but seeing as my ship isnt exactly the most agile thing out there, and noting that the cargo space is filled completely, I have a tendency to crash and die.

Are there any alternative trade routes in the starting system?

Serenity has a couple of external docking ports - if you press "d" while at a reasonable distance (near but not too near) you should see the HUD markings.

Did you try using those?

just brush past any outer area that has a green or red box around it and keep hitting d. Hit d once and it shows the docking ports, the second time will actually have you dock though until you get used to how docking works it will remain a real pain to do, especially if you are loaded down by cargo.
