See the last part of the code in every unit? faction="purist".

Do you really want me to make a wiki page? I will try... Don't expect me to get it done today or anything. What should I call it?
HowTo:Edit the multiplayer world
HowTo:Edit network.system
HowTo:Configure the multiplayer world
HowTo:Configure network.system
Got any better ideas?

BTW all this code is taken directly from the network code.

Hmmm what is the file named? I guess it would be HowTo:Configure [filename], though it is finally your pick.

The files name is network.system. I will start writing a bit of the page, but it won't get finished today. I have to leave to go somewhere in a few minutes. :|

don't worry. Trust me, I know how tedious it is to make a wiki page  . Oh, and thanks for doing this. :)

Your welcome, but don't expect it to be high quality... This is my first page I have written. Before, in wiki's, I have only edited pages.

Don't forget to link your page in the wiki so it isn't 'floating'.

meaning that the page can actually be reached while browsing the wiki, so you will have to link it inside the wiki in a relevant page. If you do a good job with your page and don't know/want to make links Inside the wiki, I might just do that for ya :P

Hey, sorry for the absence, had things to do.

I think I'm using SVN Revision 12551, so unless they renamed something then using that system file should work out of the box in svn. If you're trying to get it to work in 0.5 then it shouldn't be a surprise because I think I warned you about the naming thing. For example, I think in 0.5 you can say file="starfortress" but in SVN you have to say "Starfortress" Name the file the wrong thing and it won't load... Maybe I should have been more specific... And it does have enough coding in it to load stations, how else could I be using it?

Actually, I tried it in both, and in both versions it said: "LOAD FAILED: Fighter Barracks" and so on and so forth with the starfortresses. I checked around in other files, and your code DID have some stuff missing. I just added what was missing and it loaded just fine.

I just got back, so I might work on it allitle tonight and post what I have completed tommorow.

Well, that's uh....interesting. So it works for me, but not at all for you. I just tested it to make sure and everything loads so I wonder who changed what.
And that same exact thing worked in 0.5, all I changed to make it work for SVN were the parts where it says file=whatever to point to the new locations and file names. I would like to know why it didn't work for you, because that's all I changed, I don't think I've ever messed with anything else.

I don't know why, I stuck it in as-is and it said LOAD FAILED. I have 0.5 and the most recent revision of SVN.
Anyways, I am almost done with the network.system file, there is 10 planets and 10 stations in total, 5 different factions. I am just finishing up on the 0.5 version then I will attempt to make the SVN version.

OK, here it is. The SVN version is sorta better, sorta not. SVN has updated graphics with better Rlaan bases, but 0.5 has missions, so its your pick on what you decide to do. :)

It was my pleasure to help, because after making these I can use these for private use with my own friends. :D

Need me to do anything else just ask.

BTW I tried making the wiki page, but it was a complete disaster. I'm just no good at it. :( Greekgifted since you know about this stuff too you think you could make the page?

Sorry for posting three times in a row, but after making the SVN version of the all weapons all ships mod for multiplayer no one downloaded it. If your fine with 0.5 thats fine with me, but here it is again just incase you didn't see it. (its on page three.)

Why doesn't the SVN have missions?

Oh, and the network.system file in the SVN Multiplayer Mod.zip seems to be different than the one in Multiplayer SVN World.zip, or am I wrong..?

Yah, I forgot to take the one out of the SVN Multiplayer Mod. Use the network.system from the Multiplayer SVN World, thats the one I have been working on this entire time. :)

I don't know why the SVN doesn''t have missions, you would have to ask a game developer or something.

Oh, I forgot to tell you, some of the HUD images in the SVN version don't show up, but the actual planets are there and stuff. The images just got cut out of SVN? :|

They are there it's just that the file extensions have been changed and the windows svn exe hasn't caught up yet.In this case certain .sprite files should be renamed back to .spr That will not be an issue if you are Linux side and compiling with the latest source code.

Enjoy the Choice :)

I may just have to upgrade to the latest svn then.... Maybe someone moved something around.
I've never actually made or edited a wiki page, so I don't know if I would be any better :P Were you just planning to make a guide to creating a system for multiplayer or something? I know you did a bunch of other stuff too, so it might take me time to figure out how you did it.

Missions are possible in svn multiplayer, but I think that's a whole different process in setting up the accountserver. And before I make any more claims I should get the latest and compile!
