How do I hack cash?

I'm sure this has been asked before but I don't quite understand how to give myself, say 1bn credits... I only really want to do this to mess around and blow something to pieces rather than it being the other way round.. And to go on a kill spree in Cephid XD. Please explain! Oh and I can't load saved files with Notepad, I have to use Wordpad thingy. (I think almost same lolz).

Download Notepad++ but if you don't wordpad will do
open the save file here is the first line of one of my saves

The number between the carets (^) is your bank balance while right after it is the ship you are flying ATM followed by all the other ships in your fleet then your exact location.
