Phantom reactor draw

Post by ThinkSome »

When I drop out of SPEC, the capacitors are still drained to charge shields. Jump caps are fully charged and I'm not shooting. I have reactor II 3000MJ/s and shields have recharge 172MJ/s. 3000 MJ - 172 MJ = positive number. What is draining all this power?

Not sure there may be some artifacts that have been result of our update from Python 2.7 to the latest Python 3.0 release still tracking some down. BTW thx for the bot alerts :)

I've done some measurements after draining capacitors and jumping out of SPEC: it took roughly 32s for the shields to recharge (time until capacitor starts being charged).

Recharge speed is 172 MJ/s which means 22s to recharge a section.
Shield is 4 * 3780 MJ, so 4*24000 MJ to fully recharge it.
Which means 1090 MJ/s power draw per section, meaning I need 4360 MJ/s reactor. I will test this later maybe.

EDIT: is the declared 172MJ/s for all four or two sections or per section? The stats info does not make this clear.
