factions update help!

Hi

I have just installed factions update and now have a situation where all are -100 towards me.
I downloaded factions file and replaced it with one in vegastrike directory. What have I done wrong?
running version 0.5.0

Was really getting into ot but now everyone and thing attacks me Help..

Did you try starting a new game?

Faction relations are saved on the savegame, it's possible that installing the update made some incompatible changes with your savegame. It's probably fixable, but to make sure it's the case, you can start a new game and check if everything works fine in the new game.

yes i tried starting a different saved game and then starting a new campaign, on both occasions the vast majority of factions were -100 towards me.

Is it possible that i installed it incorrectly?

What i did was download the factions file to desktop then coppied and pasted into the vega strike directory.

Is number of factions the same between versions?

Um... the civvie factions may be new. I don't remember. But it's quite a possibility.

as i was at the early stages of the game I have decided to install 0.5.1 and start there.
I have installed svn version which is now up and running but it seems to be having some graphics problem. Space ships and minning stations etc are only in silouette at the moment.
