Hi,
the Wiki states, that the ECM can be turned off by pressing E to save energy. But if i press E, the only thing that happens is the capacitor going empty. What does the E-key really do? How can i turn off the ECM?

I don't know if that is correct or not. You can always open up vegastrike.config and look to see what keys are used to do what. I think that config file controls keyboard shortcuts as well as the video/joystick options. What version are you running? Latest svn or .5 download?

I'm using the latest svn and didn't change anything of the default keyboard configuration.

Do you have a repair bot on your ship? If so, then if you try to turn off ecm or autotracking, the bot thinks your ships has been incapacitated and will "repair" it by turning ecm and autotracking back on.

You can turn off autotracking? How do you do that? And, for that matter, WHY???
