I've seen these guys too! What the HELL are these things? And why do the fly in packs?? They looked like a bug's larvae so I decided to stay away from them. yick!

Well, they are pretty easy to kill. A single torpedo will usually do it. The problem is that they stick together and their alien beam weapons can take out just about any ship I've tried in, oh, about a second.
