I, for one, have certainly never heard of a player ending his carreer with a red card... More so on a World Cup final.
Well, as for the French, they're probably feeling about Zidane like we felt about Ronaldo back in '98. They'll forgive him. After all, second place is still better than being knocked off in the quarterfinals.
Congratulations to Italy, though: even if the round of 16 victory against Australia was kind of suspect, they really grew into their game from the quarterfinals on. They showed they deserved their fourth championship (we're still on top, though )
