Reminds me of EV: Nova

Post by darthvader »

Vega Strike reminds me of a Mac/Windows game called Escape Velocity: Nova. It's a single-player space combat RPG, where you can literally be ANYBODY you want, within reason (i.e. you can't settle down and buy a cozy little house on Mars). You can be a pirate, a trader, a military fleet commander, the saviour of the Vell-os race, etc. You can download it at http://www.ambrosiaSW.com/games/evn

I might be making an EV: Nova mod for Vega Strike, just need to figure out how to program. . .

well you can try by just changing the artwork and using the exporters and howto's that the people here made
no programming required less you want to make campaigns

Well, that would work, except that there are 6 major and about twenty minor campaigns, 5 major and 12 minor governments, and 17 even smaller smaller mission strings. If you were to subtract all of those from the game, it would be kind of pontless.
