Warp Drive anyone?

Fox News website covered that story as well. First warp is possible, then it takes more energy than the entire universe contains, then the output of a small star but possible, then some other problem, not it is possible again... Well, hope is hope. :mrgreen:

Right now, the biggest outstanding problem (aside from technical feasibility) is the creation of gamma ray bursts at the destination. That's a killer (pun more than intended)

I think it's like a gamma ray laser, with gamma rays shot out in the direction of movement, and spread dictated by diffraction (which for gamma rays I'd imagine is very tiny)
