Well everyone, 40 years ago today, the first Human being left our precious little world and stepped onto the Moon. We did the impossible, what is arguably the greatest technical acheivement in modern history. I figure it's appropriate, given our little hobby here, to comemmorate this achievement and muse about what the future of space travel and exploration holds for us.
I am optimistic that in my lifetime, we'll see a permanent base on the moon. I think it would be amazing - looking up at night and knowing there may be a whole base/city up there...

I remember that night was at a drama workshop so did not watch the event live though i did watch the landing and take off live And there where a lot of transplanted Canadian engineers on the project
