Hello
I don't know, if "towerjumping" is the right word,
but in german swimming pools, you have a tower from where you can jump in the pool.
Some are ten meters high.
When I was young I did this jumps.
Because of my sun, I went on a 5 meter high one,
the rest was pure panic, my legs didn't want to walk, adrenalin, kids around me
doing saltos, when I had a free place for jumping, I closed my eyes
and went just forwards, then 1 second in the air,
1/2 a * t² = fallen meters,
5 * 1second² = 5 meters, this means if you jump from a 5 meter tower,
you need 1 second to touch the water, if you believe in Newtons laws.
But we also have here the worldchampionships of "arschbomben" (ass-bombs),
this is the championship of splashing as much water around you as you can,
if you jump, and who made the highest fontaine is the winner.
I don't know, if I jump again, my fears are quit big.
Are you still a towerjumper, or did you ever did this?
Regards
Plueschinger
