More Infos in Mission Descriptions
The feature to access the Map in a station (mainly to plan missions) has been requested already. But a much simpler temporary solution would be to at least list the sectors one has to cross to reach the target in each mission description. This would already make it easier to take the right missions, and would probably only need minor code adjustments.

which version are you playing because ATM the svn(Development and new release candidate 
)the map and nav screens are very hard to use to much traffic to make any sense.So it is on the to do list and part of the greater list when we get around to it 
The current implementation really does need a rewrite but not before the release i believe/
