PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE MAKING A FEATURE REQUEST!

Post by Halleck »

Thank you for your interest in helping us improve Vega Strike!

Before you hit that "New Topic" button and tell the community about your great idea, we ask that you first check the list of feature requests on the Vega Strike wiki. Most of the commonly requested features (and also many uncommon requests) can be found here, including seamless planetary flight, 3D walkaround bases, and network play.

If a feature request similar to yours already appears on the list, you are welcome to log in to the wiki with your forums account and add support/comments/clarifications with an asterisk (*) under the main request. Don't forget to sign your name! (wiki shortcut is ~~~~)

If your feature request has not been listed in the wiki, then please add it! Feel free to make a thread about it here to encourage discussion. You may also want to link to the thread from the wiki (and vice versa if you like.)

Thanks for taking the time to read this sticky. We look forward to hearing your ideas!

I went through the wiki page and updated it with many new requests. I would appreciate it if some of the devs would devote some time to marking each entry with the appropriate "status" code (listed in the "Status of proposals" section). Thanks!

Why does the project use such a complex and unergonomic feauter request system?

Sourceforge or other plattforms support a very good feauter request system.

There are 2 good reasons:
* Not all forum users have an sf account to be able post requests on sf.
* It is almost impossible to track or find requests via the forum only.

I updated the wiki with the last year's worth of requests. Several of them were duplicates, but many of them were new.

I cannot login to the wiki with my forum account here. I suppose that old sourceforge accounts are required for this? Could this be changed so we can log-in using this forum's account?

EDIT: Additionally, all the links in that wiki refer to SF forum threads, which have been removed?
