I'll add seamless flight functionality only in the ogre version of the game.

In the moment, I create a tool to view vs units in ogre.

After that, I'll expand the functionality of the tool to create seamless planets.

With the power of ogre, I'll get it about 100times faster than with OpenGL plus, surface objects can be displayed.

I want to define some locations predefined like spaceports and cities.

The user of my tool could then define surface maps which will be placed onto the planet factory like.

I have got the code for generating planets and will use paged geometry from ogre to realize this.

I have an old mesh library gotten from mechcommander 2 that could serve for ground units first.

But in the moment I got stuck in basic programming steps by setting up the engine.

base app is running good.

i'm on it now including source code that handles the flight.

look into the vegaogre thread for more details.

Welcome aboard our forums we are actively developing again check our GitHub project page or join us at our Gitter chat hub both URL's can be found here on the forum we are in the run up to a new release Linux only ATM need someone with Visual Studio experience for a Windows build.

Hmm, I think our new friend you are speaking with here might be a spam bot. It copied and pasted a bit of this ancient post from klauss and it has a spam link embedded in its forum signature.
