I'll add seamless flight functionality only in the ogre version of the game.
In the moment, I create a tool to view vs units in ogre.
After that, I'll expand the functionality of the tool to create seamless planets.
With the power of ogre, I'll get it about 100times faster than with OpenGL plus, surface objects can be displayed.
I want to define some locations predefined like spaceports and cities.
The user of my tool could then define surface maps which will be placed onto the planet factory like.
I have got the code for generating planets and will use paged geometry from ogre to realize this.
I have an old mesh library gotten from mechcommander 2 that could serve for ground units first.
But in the moment I got stuck in basic programming steps by setting up the engine.
