hmm I downgraded glut to 2.0.1

I now get:

other games that use glut, like TORCS, work fine.

I have the same error.
It was such a pain in the ass to compile and when I finally manage to , I get this runtime error :evil: grrrrr!

Please, if you managed to work around this error, someone give me a hint!

Exact same experience you describe :) , I will keep you informed.
do you happen to know a dependency list for vegastrike? I cant find one in the wiki/doc/jungle

In http://vegastrike.sourceforge.net/phpwi ... CompileCvs

they say:

#

make sure you have these packages installed

* make
* gcc
* automake <-- not sure if needed
* autoconf
* X11...
* libpng + libpng-devel <-- libpng 3 is recommended.
* python and python-dev <-- 2.2.1
* expat
* (lib)jpeg + libjpeg-devel
* opengl (see below) (you probably already have it)
* inetutils

# when using libpng 1.2, --with-png-inc=<DIR> is needed

Is that what you're asking for?

I have FreeGLUT right now, I will try to install GLUT instead and try to compile it again.
