Some stuff on planets orbiting other stars.

I'm intrigued by using real stars and planets (maybe in a mod) and just fill in with other objects as needed.

From a few radio features on CBC's "Quirks and Quarks" some of the newer experimental methods will soon be revealing a veritable flood of exoplanents :D

Enjoy the Choice :)

Use of .csv of catalogs of stars make that possible .
But in Vegastrike i believe that the universe is actually only randomly created via a python
script .

It is something that i'd like to implement too .

Code: Select all

 if (!track.HasWeapons())
            {
                // So what are you going to threaten me with? Exhaustion gas?
                return ThreatLevel::None;
            }

Here's one story in Quirks & Quarks on exoplanets:

The James Webb Space Telescope is scheduled for launch in 2018 and ESO is building a monster telescope in Chile that will be in operation some ten years from now. ~2025. 8)
There'll be some pretty cool pics coming in.
