the nicest shader in current SVN doesn't like running on a Nvidia 6600, but for some reason instead of dropping to the next lowest shader, it drops to no shader at all . So when i select nicest, i get none, but if i select the next shader down from nicest, i get a working shader.

What about an stdout/err?
May not be related to the GPU, I too use a 6600 and nicest works fine.

I'll spit one out when i get home. All i remember from last night was that it complained about some float types, but i got similar warnings with the next lower shader that worked. I am not sure that there was any indication dropped to stdout about why the nicest shader wasn't being used.
