After I am in a battle, I land, repair my ship but my sheilds aren't regenerated when I take off again. Is this normal? I haven't played the original Privateer in a while, but it seems like they regenareted when you landed. Is there a way to fix them when I am at a base?

If you're in a base like Perry or New constantinople then just stay within the starbases shields until your own gain full power.
