question on repairs

Ive seen alot of questions on repairs, regarding the damage screen, and ive seen it work. My question is do the repair bots also fix all the static, on your HUD? such as your radar display, and your shield level display, or even the autopilot spot, I have alot of static atm and was wondering if the bots clear that up, or do I have to dock to fix it.

you gotta do basic repair for this, IIRC.

The static gets fixed eventually, but it's quite slow (at least with the most expensive repair upgrade, i've seen it, ver 1.2). Things that i have noticed that doesn't seem to get fixed are reduced max. afterburner speed and slow rotation rate in one direction.
A way to check if the repair system is working is checking how much you get charged for "general repair", it should decrease after some travel/time. In example you could check it before and after doing a cargo mission.
