How to pilot a missile

In my adventures trying to capture the steltek ships with the drayman, i accidentally happened to tractor in an Imrec missle... this was strange to me, so i launched it like any other wingman. I hit '[' to pilot it and i landed it in my drayman. it showed up on the landing pad like any other ship, kinda hilarious. I traded it out for another ship and now i have an Imrec in my fleet!! i attached a screenshot for you all to see my missle parked at new detroit. Dont get excited it isnt as fast as it should be, only like 200 kps. i just thought it was intriguing.

That IS hilarious. I think you forgot to link the pics in, tho. Never mind, I see them now. LOL.

can you see if it explodes on contact with other ships cos that would be pretty cool, maybe make a new feature? remote missiles...

I think he said above that he could only fly it at around 200 k/s, which would make it too slow to catch enemy ships.

Hand-guided missiles might be fun to implement properly... if not in WC, maybe in VS.

Yeah. A wire-guided missile would be unspoofable, but would require that the player be distracted from flying his ship for the few seconds needed to guide the missile in.

Maybe turn the ship over to AI control while flying a missile?

For that matter, that would be a good idea for when you're using a turret as well.

I load my ships down with Proton missiles and the pilot them myself! Just get your wing men to fight for you!
