Waaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh! Make it WORK! :(

Need help testing contributed art or code or having trouble getting your newest additions into game compatible format? Confused by changes to data formats? Reading through source and wondering what the developers were thinking when they wrote something? Need "how-to" style guidance for messing with VS internals? This is probably the right forum.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh! Make it WORK! :(

Post by Ari Rahikkala »

I was trying my hand at converting the howtos from the phpwiki to the mediawiki earlier today... then I went skiing, and when I came back all of the pages on the mediawiki were replaced by this ShipInfo table, whatever it means. See, for instance, http://vegastrike.sourceforge.net/wiki/ ... nteresting. I have some free time for working on the Wiki, so I'll be holding my breath until someone makes it so that I actually *can* work on it :(...

I think we'll have to wait for ace123 to wake up and undo some of the changes he was working on. On the bright side, if you go to

http://vegastrike.sourceforge.net/wiki/ ... ?ship=mule

you'll see that at least it dumps info correctly given a ship name :-P

Cool, deos in take the data4.x (units.cvs) as source or something like that? Would save alot of effort.
Ok, but i hope the oher pages do only have a display problem (display the empty table instead of the wiki content) and no the data itself that is corruped ? If so it's just a minor problem ;)

yes. It takes in a locally cached copy of units.csv (we can hack in a daily update script later, but there's no point in fetching from cvs every time just to see the stats on the wiki)
