Mesh animations?

Need help testing contributed art or code or having trouble getting your newest additions into game compatible format? Confused by changes to data formats? Reading through source and wondering what the developers were thinking when they wrote something? Need "how-to" style guidance for messing with VS internals? This is probably the right forum.

Mesh animations?

Post by Guest »

I've been trying to figure out mesh animations, but there doesn't seem to be any examples in CVS data4.x/units/subunit directory (aren't turrets animated?), nor in the wiki or forums. Where would I find a good description of the file format for an animated xmesh?

turrets are not animated. Turrets are composed of independently moving rigid subunits with restricted mobility, and perform maneuvers as such.

the unit to look at for animations (indeed the only animated unit at last check) is the wormhole.

you know the magical x button that switch from flight-mode =o= to cobat-mode >o< :D

many eyecandy could be realised
transformers
or secret waepons
or extra afterburner
