defining the location of the .vegastrike directory

Need help testing contributed art or code or having trouble getting your newest additions into game compatible format? Confused by changes to data formats? Reading through source and wondering what the developers were thinking when they wrote something? Need "how-to" style guidance for messing with VS internals? This is probably the right forum.

defining the location of the .vegastrike directory

Post by peteyg »

Vega Strike keeps its stuff in the .vegastrike directory, which sits in either the data dir (Windows) or the user's home directory (*nix).

The Privateer Remake mod thing keeps its stuff in .privateer... and it uses the same executable as regular Vega Strike... so that means that this can probably be configured somewhere.

I'd like to be able to use a separate directory for Vega Trek, the .vegatrek directory, but dont' know where to change this.
