New missile doesn't move

Need help testing contributed art or code or having trouble getting your newest additions into game compatible format? Confused by changes to data formats? Reading through source and wondering what the developers were thinking when they wrote something? Need "how-to" style guidance for messing with VS internals? This is probably the right forum.

New missile doesn't move

I made a new missile for vs but it doesn't move in the game.
I put it in an own unit folder, entered it in the weapon list. it appeard in the game, but
when I fire it it doesn't move forward.
Is there a special plece where you have to insert new missiles?

does your unit file give it a lot of maximum speed
it's like any other unit and must have a max speed

also you need to give it its own .xai file

look in ai/scripts/imrec.xai

by convention, missiles would be in a subdirectory of units/weapons/

Yes it is in units/weapons/
it was the .xai file that was missing :D (didn't know that before)
works fine now
