The link on the wiki is broken, takes me to a 404 page. Searched the forums and couldn't find anything.
I use Maya to model, and I can export to Wings3D of course, but no xmesh.
Anybody have an alternate link? (Or something better to use - like perhaps an xmesh <-> maya converter? )
xmesh import/export for Wings3d?

@tainok85 can't Maya import Lightwave obj and mtl format as the mesher utility will also output in that format i usually have no problem importing into Blender it's output.Mesher also can input obj mtl to produce our bfxm internal format i don't know if the version in the bin folder of the beta supports normals properly so bump maps may be non functional in any test models you make. a new windows version of mesher should soon be available that does support normals.

I downloaded that plugin, installed (v. 1.4a) it in Wings3D, but it crashes on export attempt and does not adds any "tags" item to Wings3D menu or context menu. New version of Wings (0.99.02) has plugin manager, it shows wpc_xmesh.beam as installed, but not wpc_tag.beam.
Is it possible to fix this somehow ?
Are tags really needed at all ? Mounts, docks and subunits are assigned in units.csv anyway, isn't that so ? Figuring out any orientation vectors "manually" is not hard (although not funny), but is it sole problem ?

Not sure as that plug-in has been broken for quite awhile like a few years.
