What programs do you guys generally use for ships and station models? i was wondering because i have some good skills in Terragen and 3DSM...

Most use blender as it is free and has lots of capabilities but it's interface takes a while to grok there are a few others such a Wings3d and Misfit Modeller 3D lots of Fendorin's early models where with Wings3d but as long as the app can export to Lightwave's obj +mtl format it can be converted to our in game mesh format with mesher.
