What to do with "uncategorized cargo"

Post by plueschinger »

Hello

I was witness, how a rlaan strike fleet destroyed an aeran starfortress in an asteroid field.
Then after all this I looked for what was left, I found good and expensive things, for example reactors, cloaking devices and so on.
I tractored them, now I have 16 tons of "space salvage", nobody wants to pay more than 10 credits for it. :(

But this are expensive machines.
Is there a way to make money with them, where can I sell them for a good price.
Or is it just a waste of cargo room?
Or can I use them as equipement for my second ship?

taget practice  what a waste i think that salvage should be a percentage based on the damage caused by the dump into space ie shock, vacuum exposue and what not.

Enjoy the Choice :)

Hello

@loki1950
Like I understood you, I shall sell it for 10 credits. :(

I will soon try to write a hack about this, all the trouble to collect this things and then you get enough money to buy a paket of "chewing gums"

Those "expensive machines" blew up in a fireball.
I think that is bound to have an adverse effect on its value ;)

(that's the idea - it's on purpose, space salvage is but twisted metal)

But if that was the case, why label it as "cloaking device" or whatever it was before it s'ploded and not "Space salvage" or "Twisted Metal" or whatever?

The future plans for the cargo and economy contain quality modifiers for each item which will enable us to have more states than "good" and "completely worthless", e.g., "half damaged", "brand", "superior", "rotten" and whatelse items with according bonuses or penalties.
However, it's still a long way and we've only very little spare time to work on that... :-(
