Newbie help

I'am a newbie and having money problems.
I know how to do basic flight manouvers and use the map but when doing cargo missions with my Ilma they lead me to space systems with aera and rlaan. They blow me to pieces.

So how can I make money to upgrade my Ilma?

In the beginning you should trade in Cephid17 and don't travel
to other systems. You can make some money by travelling
between Atlantis and the Serenity mining base.

Things you can buy on Atlantis and sell on Serenity:
- Natural products
- Entertainments
- Natural Gases

Things you can buy on Serenity and sell on Atlantis:
- Raw materials, except for stones (and maybe jewels,
depending on your version of vegastrike)

Trading for a while should allow you to upgrade your llama or
even buy another ship. If the planets/bases run out of cheap
products you can save the game, quit and restart. After
loading the saved game you will find that the storages of
the planets/bases will be filled again.
