Route to Sol System?

I was just wondering if anybody could tell me the route to the Sol system. I've going the way of New Detroit\New Amsterdam but so far am still confused.

I don't know where Sol is exactly, but I think that if you use VSNAV (http://vegastrike.sourceforge.net/forum ... ight=vsnav),
you can find it.

I used vsnav to get to the sol system.

yeah, you can find it.
its in the Sol sector, system named Sol.

but its not really worth the trip, imnsho.

erm no, it doesnt.
factories and/or some star fortresses have capital ships, amongst others.

You can purchase the Ox or the Clydesdale (Ox comes in Stock and Milspec, Clydesdale only comes in Milspec). You can find them at Snow planets, New Detroit, Trantor planets, and Earth's Moon. These are the only capships available for purchase at this time. You cannot find them at factories or star fortresses. Also, it is VERY rare to find capships even at the places I listed.

But yes, you can find capships in Sol (at the Moon), but it is unlikely that there will be any available.

BTW, a Clydesdale will set you back about 80 million. An Ox is about 1.5 mil for milspec (which is the price of a Stock Mule... seems unbalanced)

In my expericence, you can usually find Ox-class capships at ice planets, and rarely a Clydesale (but you might not want to bother buying one of those because it's impossible to fly!

).

But, if I get some ships with large holds like dodos and keep them in my hold I can launch those when I want to buy stuff. And could keep a small fighter squadron and 1.5 mil for a Milspec Ox is slightly unbalanced maybe 150 mil.
