I just reported this problem and the fix to Ubuntu via launchpad:

Someone should probably report it to the debian maintainers, since Ubuntu is downstream from them, but I'm hoping it will make it this way (and I have a launchpad account already.) Debian seems to be the broadest base these days, when you count Ubuntu and *oppix :)

Good move drinkypoo the original packager has posted here quite while back might prompt him to do 0.5 when it stabilizes
