I wrote a little utility to dump the contents of TFR files (TIE Fighter savegames). In case you plan to write some import functionality for a mod or whatever you may use the code if it is useful to you (I don't care about the license and I won't sue you ).
It was just a little one week side project so it is not very fancy, but maybe you can make use of it or learn something from it. In any case you are free to ignore it

go to the github site and click on the cpp file, where is the problem? I don't think that 500 lines in a code-tag are readable or useful.
