This is very easy to fix :) ( But don't forget about dinamical lighting -- sun light falls directly to upper saucer section. And down saucer section is shadowed totally ).klauss wrote:Nice.
Though I'm not crazy about the materials - shouldn't it be whiter, and less shiny?
Look at updated version.
Hmm, those are my first Federation glow maps :)Halleck wrote:BTW, where is that light on the bottom of the saucer coming from?
Feel free to put some vectors on my shots ( e.g. where light starts and it's direction ) and PM them. ( Assumptive variant is shown on 1st shot ).
God bless you!

It's ok with pickiness :-)klauss wrote: Now... I know I sound picky, but the texture is too bumpy, don't you think?
The problem is that all models were made in 2002-2004... It was really hard to get authors permissions... And ( the main reason ) I wonder where I can get another model ( with needed permissions ).
Let us we make working game and concentrate on balancing-gameplay. And when we become more popular ( perhaps... ) we will be able to find some man who will make another cool model :)
( Personally every time I start game -- Defiant vs Sovereign for example, there is no need to watch out textures under microscope :)
When there are launched 4 quantums against you and Sovereign is very near to start firing phasers... I think you understand what I'm talking about...)
BTW, don't you want to try plaing "very pre-pre alpha"?
At least you will be able to give me suggestions ( about how strong torps are, how fast this XXX ships is, etc )
God bless you!

Sure... I just don't know if I have the time - playtesting takes time - a lot of it.tillias wrote:BTW, don't you want to try plaing "very pre-pre alpha"?

In any case, just mail whatever I need to my gmail account (at gmail, you know, username klaussfreire). No need to do that if it's on the same SVN server as Privateer Remake, though
