Scratch that, it suddenly decided to like me.

However, now that it works, there are some nitpicky problems. Perry's HUD image is still upside down, and the mining bases are as well. I noticed that the Dralthi one uses the Dralthi VII as its HUD image. And the Demon's HUD seems to be the same as the Gladius. Also, the advent of new HUDs seems to have corrupted even MORE of my unit files. :( On the whole though, the addition of the new HUD images is pretty cool. And the shorter load times are pretty good too.

-Downlaoding worked fine (11:30 CET)
-loading times are fine too
-I can say the same stuff about the hud as paladin
-the jumppoints look strange (as if a couple of disks were rotating against each other) I like the jumppoints as they looked in alpha 0.2
-from time to time the game crashes (everytime after a fight but i haven't found out yet what causes it)...
-Asteroids don't move (may be a WCU thing i'm not familiar with)
-there are no torpedos (may be a WCU thing i'm not familiar with)
-centurion has an upgrade volume of 12 (may be a WCU thing i'm not familiar with)

I'll keep on testing ... :wink: hehe selfless as i am... :lol:

One more bug.

The autotrackers work as long as you don't reload the game. I stopped playing for some time and loaded the game again but the autotrackers didn't work anymore (tried k, ship info said all weapons autotracked, couldn't buy new autotrackers) I had to sell the ship and buy a new one and new autotrackers (just selling the weapons didn't work (as expected))... :?

I know, but it worked this morning.

I was just wondering if there is a difference between wcu-alpha-0.2.1.zip and wcu-devel.0.2.1.fixed.zip (if wcu-devel.0.2.1.fixed.zip exists). So I thought it might be a good idea to report which version i'm playing so the people know where to look for my bugs... :)

No sweat. It wasn't a total loss after all. Load times were reduced significantly. And capital ships like the victory and paradigm destroyers were just right.

here it is :) sorry for the mess. redid some of the huds, too. also did a few things to the weapons...


please report crashiness :) also please can someone put this on wcnews so more people'll try it?

Did you check to see if your radar hadn't mysteriously vanished? I had the EXACT same problem in PR, and it was because my radar went bye-bye, but left me with all its functins intact(sans autotrackin).

Found a funny "crashside". Everytime I try to jump from Sirius to Sol the game crashes. (I run the newest main and both patches...)

Ok... As it seems it doesn't matter from where you try to jump to sol, the game crashes anyway... :?

sounds like that one of the "prebuilt" units in sol causes crashiness... i'll travel to sol now and see what's up :) probably a bad mesh.

The next funny thing...

the jump to Weslyn in Sirius seems to be a little jumpy... hehe.
Everytime i reach the jump for the first time it jumps away. it disapears and then i find it some k away from it's original position.

no, i am interested -- buying another stormfire is actually by design since it makes sure you pay a lot of money to use it. One thing you CAN do is sell your almost-depleted SF to the base, then buy it back, and this'll refill it.
