Desperately Need Help with:

* SKINS/LIVERIES FOR VARIANTS OF VARIOUS SHIPS (or let's implement a "coat of arms" subunit)

* ANY SMALL SHIP YOU FEEL LIKE DOING EXCEPT THE DRAGON

* CUSTOM SMALL CAPSHIP FOR RIVAL STORYLINE

* CUSTOM FIGHTER FOR RIVAL STORYLINE

* CUSTOM SMALL CAPSHIP FOR THE PLAYER (Scarab II?)

* KILRATHI CIVILIAN CRAFT

* STAR BASES

* IN-BASE DOCKING SCREENS!!!! Also good for capships.
Kilrathi strippers yay!

* TEXTURES FOR THE VINDICATOR, DURANGO AND SORTHAK

Stuff that I would rather not put in:

* Dragon

* Behemoth / Sivar / Any of the one-off ships

* Custard pie launchers

* Too much Neph stuff, this is 2669 -- a little is good to put on the
far kilrathi border

* Privateer II stuff, unless we decide that your rival works for what will eventually become the Kindred. However, most of the ships look nice, so if anyone has models...

* WC3 kilrathi capships as they look nothing like the other stuff, seriously

Sounds great! There's hardly anything I can help you with, but I know that texturing is in high demand, so I'm willing to give it a try, what would you like done?

Allright, I got a texture generation program installed, called Planet Genesis, though it could be used for anything.
Between that, paint and Gimp I can probably make snazzy ship textures.
But from what I've seen, ship textures have to have a shape that wraps onto the ship; I'm not sure how that's done.

Ships that need textures: Just about any really :) A couple are downright screwed up:

Sorthak
Vindicator
Durango

The layout of the texture depends on how the modeller assigned UV coordinates. Some mappings "wrap" textures around a model, while others do simple projection.

If it's just a simple pattern texture though, I don't think it will make much difference.

I know you believe you understand what you think I said.
But I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

:oops: Model trust?

Err... what does that entail?

Just so you know, here are some highly accurate samples of my skill in texturing:

EDIT: Hey look, I'm a venturer!
