Sucking things up. . .

As usually happens when I first start out and at odd points throughout, I managed to be fighting with my tractor on.

Should I really be able to suck up an imrec missile with my tractor beam? And then sell it for 10 cr? and then, after selling it in the commodities exchange, be able to buy it as a flyable ship? Again for 10 cr..

I've hopefully fixed this in the most recent cvs .exe
but we'll see...I'll hopefully be releasing another 1.0pre version very soon

I rather like being able to suck up missiles. Adds a bit of skill to avoiding them. Selling them as scrap seems cool too, though buying it as a flyable ship is probably not ideal ;)

Well. . . There IS that. I wasn't complaining, but I hesitate to buy it and try to fly it. LOL

I like it as a way of avoiding damage. I don't think I should be able to fly it, though. We have a minor issue of a quirk.

Maybe I need to find a "Quirkier" anime character and use HER as my avatar. Maybe what's her name from Hinata sou. . . err. . . Love Hina. But is she "Quirky" ENOUGH?

YOU CAN FLY IT!

I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't tried it.

Shields, reactor, ECM, armour, Hull, jump drive additional cargo (50)
LOL
Handles like a Paradigm Top speed 219

No guns because no mounts.

Don't think you'll win the game with it, but it has a Jump Drive!

While those pics are pretty funny to see, let's stop and think for a moment:

What does a tractor beam do? It pulls things towards you.
What does a missile do? It flies towards you really fast with the intent to explode on impact.

Reasoning tells me that tractoring the missile, and thus making it move even faster towards your ship is not a legitimate way to avoid having it explode when it runs into you.
