Just starting game

I have a real problem probably not having played privateer is the reason, i have noticed that all missions need you to have jump drives to begin with, which they cost 9000 credits..... but you only start with 3000 credits anyone know how to get insystem missions or how to get credits before having the need to jump?

Yeah, there aren't quite as many insystem missions as in Privateer.

That's probably good, actually. If you spend a lot of time in one system in Vega Strike, it could get fairly cluttered if you keep taking missions.

Plus it is extra incentive to get out of Troy. I just made it to New Constantinople!

Watch out for insystem missions everywhere you can land in troy, that should be the Mining Base and Helen, you'll soon get enough money to buy a jump drive.

Actually this is still far away from the original privateer so don't wonder :)

I know you believe you understand what you think I said.
But I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

i just sit on my thumb and feel happy no matter what's going on in the game.
i shouldn't be posting this...

anyways, we take it on faith that people won't just hack. ultimately it's fun to start out with some juice, but it really does take the sense of accomplishment out of getting anywhere.

we should offer up starting tips, like 'sell your radar'. to whoever wants to get a jump drive pronto. so they don't just look to hacking right away.

BTW I turned off the thing where a system gets crowded from so many capship launches
now the missions recycle capships if they're in the same system
no more confusion about which confed watson to go to
