bare bones?

Post by scheherazade »

hmm, is there a bare-bones data for VS?

one that is no ships, maybe 1 or whatever.
and a minimal universe...

something that is feature inclusive but empty, so you can start on a mod from scratch with it?

I have taken my first crack. Here it is:
http://students.washington.edu/peteyg/b ... ones01.zip
It's about 12 megs zipped. Two systems, two ships in starting system, that's about it. I haven't tested it much at all, but it should mostly work.

It's just the data, no binaries or .dlls or anything like that provided.

I guess I could use this as an exercise in creating a mod dataset, but not tonight.

took a loot at it. its a good start.

is mod-loading working correctly atm?

if it is, how is it done.

is it mod-only data, or VS universe + mod data?

also, we really need some sensible changes to scale and what not.

i'm gonna download latest CVS and try out this minimal thing with modified ship stats and scales.

i'll send you back what i suggest as good scales and speeds.
(maybe post it on my web site).

then give me some feedback.

can't CO.

will try those stats with older CVS.
