ok I have been dreaming about having some kind of "QuakeSpace" aspects like. just take out the trading aspects in the game.
we could either have single player fighting against the bots, and we could have multiplayer mode.
Two Teams:
- Mercury(Grayish Yellow ships)
- Pluto(Dark blue ships)
Type of ships:
- Light Fighter; descent agility, and speed, little firepower and armor.
- Scout; fastest ships, low agility, little firepower and hull rating, largest radar range.
- Fighters; verious types.. hopfully not unbalanced.
- Bomber; Slow ships, lots of missile slots big enough to take out capships, or stations out faster.
game types:
Team Death Match:
- The object of the game is pretty much simple, the team who reaches the kill limit or gets most kills during a time based match, wins.
Last team standing:
- The object of the game is the surviving team wins the match.
starbase assault:
- 2 Stations for each teams
- 4 station sectors total
- 6 to 10 sectors not including station sectors.
- the first team to actually destroy all the opponet team stations wins.
escort:
- each carrier from each team are headed to one destination to mine a big astroid.
- both carriers will mine the same big astroid, except from different sides.
- it will take up to 45 seconds to mine the astroids. Then it will turn back headed back to the station.
- when it successfully arrives at the station, then they will increase 500 for their teams score.
- when the carrier gets destroyed, it will take up to 1 minute for launch another carrier to mine the astroid.
- players will either escorting their carrier, or destroying the enemies carrier.
just remember, theres nothing realistic or any complicated aspects about the game types I wrote above.. just remember, it's just a tournament.
i don't know any more game types.
the the only thing I could do is, make the ship/station/gate models, the backgrounds, and mabie the sounds. this will take a long time though mabie months because i got many things to do in RL.
i have no c++ knowledge though its the main thing that will make it happen.
p.s. of course theres allegiance but thats for winblowz only.

I think a Far better way to implement this is not to mod it but rather make it as an arcade game with VS. WC1 had it, and it was cool. Just jump in a fight against ever increasing odds. We have bars why not have linked on-line games within VS. Hell it could be part of a betting system with in the VS it self
