SVN 11505 Wont Load

Updated to the latest SVN and i get the Runtime C++ error again.

Any ideas??

In future please post this in Bug Triage. A crash or load failure is a serious bug.

I have just run svn11505 under XP and it completes the load and i can save then launch and i don't get the back traces.

I was trying to load a saved game from a previous SVN. I found that if i went through launcher and generated a new game then it would load ok. Upshot is that its working now.

Looks like you were running a part of python code that has never been tested before. I just changed "fgname" to "fg"...

Ya, sorry, that was I.
I meant to test it before commiting, but at that same instant my /home partition decided to flunk out - after a partially-failed fsck.reiserfs --rebuild-tree, I decided I had to seize any oportunity to safeguard those changes (ie - commit without testing) - the weird thing is that they worked for me, but I've been using clean saves for a long time.

Just compiled and ran svn11516 no problems the second set of load/splash screens now all work 8) and your progress report script does the job klauss.
Still getting lots of these.

Not sure about all those messages... the fact that it's trying to use lasers and also using engine which doesn't exist (might be changed to Reactor or capacitor)
Maybe the python upgrading code is out of date...

That's easily configurable - once I saw all that hardcoding and made all the units.csv-dependant things go first on the relevant .py. I think it's either faction_ships.py or something_upgrades.py
